The Board of Directors of Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (“CTWS” or “the Company”) announced today that they accepted the resignation of Eric W. Thornburg as Chairman, President and CEO of the Company, and unanimously appointed David C. Benoit to serve as the Interim President and CEO of the Company, its Connecticut operating subsidiaries, and CEO of the Maine subsidiary effective immediately. Richard Knowlton will remain the President of the Company’s Maine operating subsidiary, Maine Water Company.

Heritage Village Water’s latest water quality reports are available to customers and others who consume the water produced by the Heritage Village Water Company, which serves customers in Middlebury, Oxford and Southbury. The report summarizes water quality testing done in 2016 and includes information about the Heritage Village Water’s water system, water quality test results, and source protection measures. Heritage Village Water works closely with the Department of Public Health (DPH) to ensure that the water it provides to customers meets or is better than state and federal standards for drinking water. Customers who read the report can see that effort results in high quality water being delivered to consumers.
Heritage Village Water Company (HVWC) under the new ownership of Connecticut Water is giving back to the community with a $25,000 donation to the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition (PRWC).
